The Learn To Work Program

The LaGrange County Learn to Work Program was established in 2024 to provide LaGrange County students with expanded career and technical opportunities by aligning education with the region’s economic needs. With changing public education requirements and new diploma mandates, Lakeland, Westview, and Prairie Heights school corporations realized that collaborating was more effective. As a result, they formed the Learn to Work Program, a first-of-its-kind partnership in the county designed to bridge the gap between education and employment by equipping students with hands-on skills and real-world experience. Through strategic community and industry partnerships, this program prepares students for the workforce by providing quality programming and mentorship to offer a sustainable solution to regions’ workforce and education development challenges.

The Learn to Work Program empowers students through innovative, high-quality, hands-on learning experiences that align education with industry needs. By building clear pathways to career awareness and workforce readiness, we prepare a skilled, future-ready workforce equipped to thrive in a dynamic job market.
