We are a ...
"Destination Corporation!"
Our goal at Lakeland School Corporation is to be a destination corporation for staff, students, and other educational entities. We are working to reach this goal by providing first-class programming for students from our play-based pre-k programs at Wolcott Mills and Lakeland Primary through our pathway programs and dual credit offerings at Lakeland Jr/Sr High. It is essential that students feel connected to their school and community. We also invest in our staff through rigorous staff development focused on literacy, best practices, and collaboration. This professional development is offered on Mondays (beginning in September and running through May) during a two-hour delay.
We work to communicate with families on a regular basis through text, email, phone calls, and newsletters. We want people to know the wonderful things that are happening at Lakeland! We welcome participation in our monthly Board of School Trustees meetings, ensuring transparency in our programs, budgets, and decision-making processes.
If you look closely, our "L" leans forward. There's a reason for that. We are a district looking forward, toward the future and working to make it happen for our students, staff, and community! If you aren't a Laker, I hope you'll consider joining us. If you're already a Laker, thank you for choosing us!
