Owsley

Rebekah Owsley has earned a first-place finish in the District FFA Proficiency competition. Competing in the Veterinary Science category, Owsley’s victory secures her a spot in the upcoming state-level competition this March.

The Agricultural Proficiency Awards honor FFA members who have developed specialized skills that they can apply toward their future careers. Owsley’s award-winning project is based on her hands-on experience working at a local veterinary clinic, where she has demonstrated exceptional growth and professional dedication.

To achieve this top ranking, Owsley underwent a rigorous evaluation process that focused on two primary areas:

  • Precision Record Keeping: Maintaining meticulous documentation of hours, tasks, and financial impacts.

  • Skill Diversity: Showcasing a broad range of clinical abilities and technical expertise performed on the job.

Owsley will now prepare to present her records and expertise to a panel of judges at the State FFA Convention in March, where she will compete against the top students from across the state.
