The Lakeland Academic Teams had a successful evening at Tuesday night’s Fremont All-Area meet. All 5 subjects took 1st place in their enrollment Class. There were 7 schools at the All-Area meet - including DeKalb, East Noble, Angola, Lakeland, Prairie Heights, Fremont & Hamilton. The Fine Arts team of Emma Parrish, Lydia Jacobson, Alana Whited & Aliza Whited were 1st overall out of 10 competing teams. These teams were 2nd overall: the Science team of Noah Tropp, Lana Vankoevering & Lydia Jacobson; the Math team of Hanna Yoder, Noah Tropp, Isaiah Howard & Deacon Leu and the English team of Hannah Barrick, Rory Sweet & Kaylee Yoder. The Social Studies team of Ashelyn Noonan, Kaianne Miller & Hannah Barrick was 1st in their class.
Fremont was one of many All-Area host sites across the State of Indiana on Tuesday. Scores from each of the All-Area meets will be tabulated today to determine which schools and subject area teams will qualify for the State meet at Purdue on May 9th.
There are 4 enrollment classes, each consisting of 60+ schools and usually the Top 5-6 qualify. Lakeland is part of Class 3.
