🏆 Character: What Real Winning Looks Like
Being a great athlete is about more than just speed, strength, or skill—it’s about 🩵. Good sportsmanship is the foundation of every great game, and it starts with us.
What does good sportsmanship look like?
🥎Respecting the Officials: They are there to keep the game fair and safe. Even when we disagree, we stay professional.
🎾Lifting Teammates Up: A mistake is a chance to learn, not a reason to criticize. Great teams support each other through the highs and the lows.
⚾️Honoring the Opponent: Without them, there is no game. Compete hard, but always play fair and offer a handshake when the whistle blows.
⛳️Winning with Humility, Losing with Grace: Celebrate your victories without boasting, and take your losses as fuel for improvement.
🏃‍♀️‍➡️🏃‍➡️Let’s commit to being the kind of players, coaches, and fans that people want to play against. Because at the end of the day, people might forget the final score, but they will always remember how you played the game. 🤝✨

Morgan Sturdivant has recently completed her Senior Project, a Wishing Well for Lakeland Primary School. A Senior Project is one of the components of Lakeland's Leading Edge Diploma. The Wishing Well idea came for Lakeland Primary Assistant Principal, Sam Plew. Lakeland Primary students do Wish Wells each day for classmates that are not at school or are having struggles. The well gives them a physical opportunity to wish well through a written note or by painting a message on a small stone to drop in the well. Senior Project co-instructor Thom Taylor was instrumental in the project design.
